Saturday 16th August West Brom vs Everton Both sides here lost their opening game, with West Brom putting up a respectable scoreline in a 1-0 loss at Arsenal, whilst Everton lost 3-2 at home to Blackburn in a game they were expected to win.
Robert Koren missed that game but could return for this one. Gianni Zuiverloon is also available for this game following his return from the Olympics, but Neil Clement is still out with a knee problem. Arsenal’s finishing was dreadful last week, so West Brom fans still haven’t seen much of their new signing Scott Carson. They also had 2 one-on-one’s in that match with neither being taken. They will be hoping for more from their attack this week. New record signing Borja Valero could be in line to make his debut following a £4,700,000 move from Mallorca earlier this week.
Everton will be desperate to get their season started after being outplayed and beat by Blackburn last week. They will still be without key player Tim Cahill for a few games, as well as Steven Pienaar, Andy van der Meyde, Tony Hibbert and captain Phil Neville, all missing this game. It could give David Moyes some problems in midfield, as he adopts a 4-5-1 system and give West Brom every chance of picking up something here.
West Brom to win 2/1
Draw 23/10
Everton to win 8/5
