High-flying Sheffield United travel to Molineux on Sunday, still unbeaten on their travels in the Premier League this season.
Nuno Santo surprisingly named a strong lineup for his side’s trip to Sporting Braga in a rainy night in Portugal on Thursday. Not only could the side be a little fatigued and lacking preparation time for this weekend, but morale may have taken a dent after blowing a 3-1 lead to draw 3-3.
Wolves are unbeaten in their last eight Premier League games since Chelsea won 5-2 here back in September. This run does include a 2-0 win at Manchester City, but otherwise nothing too spectacular. Four of these are draws, which includes at home to Southampton and away to Newcastle United, whilst the wins include Watford and Bournemouth.
Sheffield United’s away run is more impressive – fighting back from 0-2 to draw at Chelsea, winning at Everton and drawing at Tottenham Hotspur. They’ve also beaten Arsenal at Bramall Lane this season.
I am expecting a tight game but I have to say I favour Sheffield United out of both sides if there is to be a winner in this one. Simply that their fitness levels and preparation time will have been much higher and that manager Chris Wilder is a tactical master.
