The Premier League returns after the international break and the action kicks off at Goodison Park when Everton host West Ham United on Saturday lunchtime.
If reports are to be believed, Marco Silva’s job could be on the line in the coming weeks. Everton start the weekend inside the relegation zone after four consecutive defeats. They have scored just twice during this run, which includes a 2-0 loss at home to Sheffield United and 1-0 at Burnley last time out.
Meanwhile, West Ham were flying under Manuel Pellegrini, prior to their surprise loss at home to Crystal Palace in their final game before the international break. They had previously been unbeaten in their six Premier League matches, which includes beating Manchester United 2-0 and keeping three clean sheets.
The Hammers are unbeaten on their travels this season, but have drawn three of their four road games. However, this weekend provides an opportunity to pick up another three points, which would put the East London club into the top four at full-time.
Sebastien Haller is a goalscorer and faces a porous defence. Felipe Anderson should easily have the beating of Seamus Coleman, though it’s about time Djibril Sidibe starts at right-back for the hosts.
West Ham have been playing well in recent months and I expect them to get a result on Merseyside this weekend.
