Norwich City host Newcastle United in the first Premier League game at Carrow Road this season.
The Canaries looked impressive in their first game back in the top flight on Friday night, despite the result at Anfield.
Daniel Farke’s side won the EFL Championship last season off the back of their excellent attacking game. The German manager has already said this season that he has no plans to sit back either.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United were unconvincing in their 1-0 loss at home to Arsenal last weekend. The score could have been greater and even then the Gunners were far from their best.
Few wanted Steve Bruce to get the job at St James’ Park and unless they improve greatly on last weekend’s performance they’re going to be in for a long campaign under the former Sheffield Wednesday boss.
Joelinton did look likely in the first half last weekend before going quiet, whilst Jonjo Shelvey is a goalscoring threat from midfield. Otherwise, the Magpies are lacking much in attack following the loss of both Salomon Rondon and Ayoze Perez over the summer.
I really fancy Norwich to go on and pick up three points this weekend. They’re going to take the game to Newcastle and have the ability to break down the visitors’ defence.
Best bet: Norwich City to win is 2.34 with Betfair
