Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be looking to win his 10th game in his 11th attempt as caretaker manager when Manchester United travel to Fulham in Saturday’s lunchtime Premier League game.
The Red Devils are flying since the Norwegian replaced Jose Mourinho in the dugout but there’s no doubt that Solskjaer will have an eye on their Champions League second round first leg tie against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.
With that in mind you can expect some rotation. But this probably means Anthony Martial, Romelu Lukaku and Juan Mata in the front three versus the leakiest defence in the Premier League. I would expect the in-form Paul Pogba to remain in the starting lineup anyway as he’s always full of energy and the boss has five centre-backs to choose from now.
Meanwhile, Fulham are hopeless at the back and look destined to return to the Championship. Claudio Ranieri’s side have lost four of their last five heading into Saturday’s game, conceding 12 goals during that run. The Cottagers were hammered 4-1 at Old Trafford back in December against Mourinho’s side.
The odds on Manchester United are pretty good and the game is live on TV for in-play betting. On top of that, I’d expect the odds to rise a little in the final hour before kickoff once a weakened United team has been named.
