Relegated threatened Cardiff City host high-flying Bournemouth in Saturday evening’s Premier League game in the Welsh capital.
Neil Warnock’s side were valiant in their efforts midweek, only losing 2-1 at Arsenal in a game they created a number of opportunities during the first half but went in 0-0.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth hammered Chelsea 4-0 at the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday evening to move up into 10th place in the table and only two points off Wolverhampton Wanderers in 7th.
Cardiff City start the weekend four points adrift of safety and having taken just one point from their previous four matches. Their late consolation at Arsenal is the only goal they’ve scored during this run too.
Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth head to Cardiff off the back off impressive back-to-back victories at home, first beating West Ham United 2-0 before their midweek drubbing of Chelsea.
Attacking midfielder David Brooks has been in excellent form of late though did pick up a knock on Wednesday night but is expected to be fit to start on Saturday. Ryan Fraser is having a cracking season down the left wing and Josh King has scored three goals in his last two outings in place of the injured Callum Wilson.
With the form both sides are in I expect Bournemouth to make it three wins on the bounce at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday. We should certainly be in for an entertaining game at least.
Best bet: Bournemouth to win is 2.36 with Betfair
