Frank Lampard will be looking to continue Derby County’s fine form when the Rams return from the international break to take on Rotherham United.
The home side start the weekend with two wins and four losses this season as pre-season relegation contenders. Derby are fourth in the table, two points off top, although they’re not as good as their position suggests.
All four of Derby’s wins have come against the bottom nine, whilst Rotherham are only just above the best of those, in 15th.
Lampard certainly has the players to do well this season but Derby have not looked very great tactically in their opening four games, and in fact, you could argue a case that they didn’t deserve to win any of the four games that they have. The inexperienced manager himself admitted after the narrow victories against Reading and Hull City that his side were lucky.
However, we are confident that this luck will continue on Saturday as Rotherham are one of the division’s weaker teams.
