Liverpool will look to continue their impressive start to the season when they host Brighton & Hove Albion in Saturday evening’s Premier League game.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have started with 4-0 and 2-0 wins to start the season and face a side who beat Manchester United last weekend.
Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah have looked lively down the wings and Naby Keita looks like an exciting signing in central midfield. Two clean sheets for new signing Alisson in goal is also an impressive start given the Reds’ poor defensive record last season.
Brighton were comfortably beaten at Watford in their season opener but put three goals past a Manchester United side that never conceded that many goals in a single game last season. However, Jose Mourinho appears to have lost his team this season and the result can be ignored going into this game.
I simply expect Liverpool’s attack to annihilate the Brighton defence. They have two slow centre-backs and the Merseyside club have a lot going for them down the wings – both in Mane and Salah, but also Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold supplying the attack with crosses from the wings.
This is reflected by the bookmakers offering 1.19 at best on a home win. Liverpool are best backed on the handicap this Saturday.
