One of the most-anticipated matches of the weekend comes from Anfield on Sunday afternoon when Liverpool play host to Tottenham Hotspur.
Both teams are fighting for a top four finish to play in the Champions League again next season and it’s Jurgen Klopp’s side who head into the weekend in the better position with a two-point advantage over Spurs.
I am expecting an end-to-end game with two exciting attacks and two defences who have not found their form in 2018 and the Betfair football odds on lots of goals being scored also suggest we’re going to be entertained on Sunday.
Harry Kane and Mohamed Salah are the Premier League’s top scorers whilst Liverpool also have Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana among others in attack.
Defensively however, Loris Karius has been back in goal of late and doesn’t offer much confidence to the four in front of him. Defensively Dejan Lovren isn’t having the best of seasons and Liverpool don’t have an out-and-out holding midfielder.
Meanwhile Tottenham have Christian Eriksen back from illness, Heung-min Son and Dele Alli supporting Kane, with deadline day signing Lucas Moura not expected to feature.
Toby Alderweireld is back in training but not expected to make his return in this game whilst the Tottenham defence are struggling to shut teams out of late, with Manchester United midweek being a rare exception.
I think we’ll see an exciting game on Sunday with lots of goals.
Best bet: Both teams to score is 1.57 with Betfair
