Liverpool host Leicester City in a top half battle in their final game of 2017.
Few teams have been involved in more goals than these two teams heading into gameweek 20 with Jurgen Klopp’s side being involved in 69 goals in their 20 games (46 for, 23 against) and Leicester City 60 goals (30 for, 30 games) – three goals per game.
Both teams have very exciting attacks and despite Liverpool’s surprisingly good defensive record at Anfield this season I think we’ll see both teams getting on the scoresheet in this one.
Klopp has Mohamed Salah, Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Daniel Sturridge to choose from in his attack whilst Adam Lallana has returned over Christmas so could start in central midfield to support the front three.
Jamie Vardy has a good goal record versus Liverpool and Riyad Mahrez has been in excellent form since Claude Puel took charge. Leicester City drew 2-2 with Manchester United before Christmas and were beaten 2-1 at Watford on Boxing Day.
Expecting an exciting game between these two and lots of goals.
