Manchester United come off of a tough 1-0 win at home to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday to face a high flying Watford side who thrashed Newcastle United 3-0 at St James’ Park at the same time.
Jose Mourinho has Paul Pogba with game time under his belt following his hamstring injury and looking like he hasn’t missed a minute over the past month and a half. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has also made a couple of late substitute appearances as he nears full match fitness.
Watford have picked up more points on the road than they have at home this season and although they have kept clean sheets in their last two Premier League outings these came against struggling Newcastle and West Ham. They conceded three versus managerless and out-of-form Everton in the game before.
I believe United have the fire power to score a couple past this Watford defence that could include Adrian Mariappa and Christian Kabasele.
Although the Hornets have the talented Richarlison going forward I feel Mourinho will aim to man mark him out of the game. This could leave Andre Gray as their biggest threat and he’s not been the sharpest this season.
Manchester United are odds on which doesn’t represent the best of values but because I’m confident in the Red Devils outscoring the hosts in this one I am confident enough to back it with confidence. The game is also on TV to take in-play.
