Arsenal were involved in one of the most exciting games of the opening weekend when they kicked off the 2017-18 Premier League season with a thrilling 4-3 victory over Leicester City on Friday night.
The Gunners will still be without captain Laurent Koscielny through suspension but Shkodran Mustafi is match fit now and Per Mertesacker is available after being cut open in the Community Shield. This means left-back Nacho Monreal won’t be playing in the middle of a back three.
Stoke City started their season in a typical, dull affair, losing 1-0 at Everton, with Wayne Rooney scoring his 199th Premier League goal.
Mark Hughes’ side have brought in Kurt Zouma on loan from Chelsea and made the interesting decision to bring Darren Fletcher to the Bet365 stadium also. Whilst they still have Bojan and Xherdan Shaqiri in their team, they also started the likes of Peter Crouch and Saido Berahino last weekend.
Arsenal have a lot of talent going forward – Alexandre Lacazette is going to be a contender for the Golden Boot this season, Danny Welbeck got in some good positions versus Leicester and Aaron Ramsey came off the bench to score. We’re not sure which Mesut Ozil will show up but we think Arsene Wenger’s side should have the quality to carry them through to three points on Saturday.
