The Premier League returns after the international break with the Merseyside derby kicking off the action on Saturday lunchtime.
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are all expected comfortable wins on Saturday before the weekend concludes with Arsenal versus Manchester City at the Emirates.
Here are this week’s Premiership Tips:
Liverpool vs Everton
Liverpool had an excellent March and have won their last three at Anfield, including victories over Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal. The Reds have also had Everton’s numbers in this derby for several seasons now.
Whilst Everton head into this game off the back of a 3-0 win over West Brom and 4-0 versus Hull City, both of those games came at Goodison Park and they are winless on the road since January.
I see Liverpool’s front three causing Everton’s defence some real problems with their pace and movement in a game they should see more possession. This game is on TV to back Liverpool in-play if you don’t fancy them pre-game.
Arsenal vs Manchester City
Manchester City had some disappointing results in March, including their Champions League exit to AS Monaco and being held 1-1 at home by Liverpool. However, their defensive record domestically has been good of late and Arsenal are in a mess at the moment.
Arsene Wenger is under serious pressure following the Gunners’ 10-2 Champions League exit to Bayern Munich and qualification to next season’s competition is not looking too convincing following their 3-1 loss at West Brom before the break.
With the Arsenal defence in somewhat of a mess of late and Manchester City having excellent options in attack with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne and Leroy Sane, Pep Guardiola should be able to take three points back from North London. Their odds are amazing too.
