Liverpool Favourites to Win Carling Cup

Heading into the second legs of Tuesday and Wednesday’s Carling Cup semi finals, Liverpool are the bookmakers favourites, with Bet365 offering the best price at 4/6.

Kenny Dalglish’s side took a 1-0 win away from the Etihad Stadium through a Steven Gerrard first half penalty.

Roberto Mancini’s Manchester City have beaten Liverpool 3-0 in the Premier League since and go to Anfield on Wednesday night as 5/2 second favourites to lift the Carling Cup this year.

On Tuesday, Cardiff will try to turn a 1-0 deficit around against Crystal Palace at their Cardiff City Stadium. The Bluebirds are 11/1 longshots to lift the English League Cup, whilst Crystal Palace are only just shorter at 10/1 thanks to Anthony Gardner’s goal in the first leg.

Neither Liverpool or Crystal Palace have played at the new Wembley since it was re-opened in 2007.
