Wolverhampton Wanderers 2010/11 Season Preview
Last season finish: 15th
Key signing: Stephen Hunt (Hull City)

A creative midfielder, Stephen Hunt is likely to create several chances for his new team mates this season. A good runner with the ball, Hunt is capable of winning his side free kicks and penalties as he did during his times with Hull and Reading in previous Premier League seasons. Kevin Doyle could do with extra service this season and the acquisition of Hunt gives him just that.
Other transfers:
In:
Jelle Van Damme (Anderlecht)
Steven Fletcher (Burnley)
Steven Mouyokolo (Hull City)
Out:
Chris Iwelumo (Burnley)
George Friend (Doncaster Rovers)
Andrew Surman (Norwich City)
Jason Shackell (Barnsley)
What to expect this season:
Another relegation battle and the likelihood of West Brom doing the double over them once again. However, I feel Wolves are better prepared to avoid relegation than their bitter West Midland rivals. Mick McCarthy is starting to construct a decent team, but could do with another defender to strengthen the defence that was torn open by the top teams last season. Kevin Doyle works his socks off up front and needs to provide double figures this season. Stephen Hunt is likely to chip in with a few goals from midfield to take some of the pressure off of him. It will be a close one, but I think Wolves will narrowly finish on the right side of safety again this season. Narrowly.
