Manchester City v Bolton Wanderers Betting Preview
After a disappointing loss to Hull on Saturday, Manchester City will want to be getting their top 4 push back on with a victory over Bolton on Tuesday night.
Manchester City
A lack of effort saw Manchester City go down at Hull City on Saturday. I wasn’t overly surprised and I did predict that in my preview for that game. After Emmanuel Adebayor thumped a goal back on the hour mark I was expecting them to step up and Hull to sit back. But City created few chances after that and got what they deserved. They’ve dropped 3 points behind 4th placed Liverpool, but with Liverpool travelling to Arsenal on Wednesday, many City fans will be thinking they can get level on points during the week. Adebayor doesn’t press defenders as much as he should which gives them time to settle in. Craig Bellamy will however and he is a player who can lead the line up front for Manchester City in this game, causing Bolton’s defence problems. City have a number of players who can do that and I think their attacking midfield players will be able to boss the Bolton midfield around in this game. Bolton have two clean sheets under Owen Coyle in recent games, but haven’t been as successful on the road. Manchester City were held 3-3 at the Reebok Stadium in December, but will have their work cut out to repeat that on Tuesday.

Bolton Wanderers
A dull goalless draw at home to Fulham on Saturday sees Bolton 1 point out of the relegation zone. I thought they would be win that one. They had chances too, with Johan Elmander wasting a good opportunity and Kevin Davies having one harshly disallowed late on. Vladimir Weiss was exciting on the wing after he came on and Jack Wilshere has been a good addition to their midfield. Weiss will be ineligible to play against his parent club in this game. Bolton haven’t faired well on the road this season and would need Manchester City to play flat for a third consecutive game to get anything from this game.

I expect Manchester City to bounce back from their defeat at Hull by beating Bolton at home on Tuesday night.
